Generation O!
Generation O! was a show that premiered on Kids WB as part of the kid’s block called Fraterdays. The theory was that there was so much amazing animation on the WB that it was spilling over to Friday afternoons. Sounds stupid huh? Yeah, I thought so too. It didn’t work either and no one watched this little gem of a show because it happened to air at the exact time that Pokemon and the anime craze hit the US and overnight the Kids WB went from airing shows like Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries and Mucha Lucha to airing nothing but anime which to me was part of their eventuall downfall.
Generation O! was the brainchild of award winning author James Proimos, Ad man David Hale and musician Tim Newman (and brother of Randy Newman) who had the great concept of an 8-year-old rockstar girl who still has to go to bed at 8pm and do the dishes. It was in many ways a cool show for me and marked my first entry into producing. Each episode had at least one catchy song (expertly done by Letters to Cleo) and a multimedia music video as well. If anyone remembers, “multimedia” was the executive catch phrase of the day back in 1999. It was an awesome show and I am sad to see that no one has heard of it.
Anyway, check out Generation O! episodes here and I’m sure you’ll agree it was a greatly overlooked show.
Oh and if you’re from Mexico, try to see the English version as I have heard that the awful dubbing made it into a terrible show.

The video appears broken…I can’t hit play or any of the buttons and none of the videos will start up.
I used to watch this show back when WB was still around. It was one of the cartoons I grew up on and I absolutely loved it. I had it’s opening song stuck in my head just recently and it brought back a wave of nostalgia…They just dont make cartoons like this one anymore. I would have liked to hear the opening song just one more time.

yeah milo it´s ok and sorry I know that my english it´s terrible (I´m from california mexico).
I watched this cartoon on the TV channel “Nickelodeon”.
I do not know what happened, just disappeared, even sadder, I looked all over the Internet some of this show in Spanish and there is nothing, NOTHING (no music, no videos, no channels…notingh. Luckily I found your page with some of your episodes, listen to songs in English and to my surprise they are better than I heard in Spanish.
I continued searching the internet and found the songs in full version (I never imagined to exist in full version, there is some CD with his songs?). whatever.
please milo, I looked all over the Internet (for 6 months, Seriously) and I did not find the episodes: Lone fry, Going solo, The Defiant One, Devitated Tonsils and bedtime blues.
I wholeheartedly appreciate if you upload some of those (especially Lone fry * I dont have that song and I not remember the episode, I just remember it was Christmas), you’re my last hope to see them again.

They’re too big and the problem is that I have them as dvds, if I had the time to turn them into files I could use them on the site!

,When I first met this website I was 16 and now I have 19, crazy not you think? XD ever since, I visited this site each month to see if finally you uploaded the episodes until that is I become customary, and now I’m going to miss coming to this site, but the way things are, everything changes and we have to choose other paths, when I grow up, get married and have childrens I will show my children what I watched when I was a child. Nice site. I haven’t taken the time to check out all the eps yet, but I notice I can only find the OP on episode 1 on the net, yet I have another OP I saw more of when the show was on. I thought it was a better OP, myself.

Thanks for sharing these episodes with us Mike. This was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid. I still remember waiting to see it every Friday at 3:30, even if it was a repeat. It’s really great to see these episodes again after all these years.

Buzz O! That’s the song but I have a version that only has a live action concert crowd with scenes from the show and appears to be an opening not a promo. Thanks.
The crowd was added in post. Somewhere I have the original mp3 of the title sequence song. It was a really hard decision to make as to what song was going to be the title. I boarded that whole title sequence myself and WB tried very hard to get rid of the camera going inside her belly button but I ultimately got to keep it in.
If I can find the original song I’ll post it.
