The animatic in animation production where the storyboard is filmed to the sountrack. Some animatics can get extremely elaborate, incorporating sound effects, music and sometimes even color. Below are two examples of an animatic.
the first was done for a development project for the Kids WB called The Knights of Sherwood and was done in Flash

The second one is more traditional and is really only the storyboard film to the soundtrack recording.
